FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What kind of files should I upload for Mixing or Mastering?
For mastering, any lossless audio file will do. What is a lossless audio file? Any file that has the extension .wav, .aiff, .flac, and/or .alac. For mixing, whoever was in charge of tracking your music should have access to the stem files for the session. These are are the raw audio takes for each track in the session and are the ones I need for mixing.
Why do I need to send lossless audio files for Mastering?
Because a lossless audio file is one that is not compressed. Compression of audio leads to poor audio quality and you want me to work with the highest quality file possible. MP3s, MP4s, AACs, and so on are all types of compressed audio files.
What do I need to bring to a Recording Session?
Your instrument and your talent, at a bare minimum. Other items, such as your pedal boards, amplifiers, lyric sheets, in-ear monitors, etc. will all be discussed about in the communication before your session.
Do you have equipment in Studio that I can use?
Absolutely. Make sure to check out the equipment section for all available equipment for use.
